Introduction

Life is short and uncertain. While some might never understand this and how important it is, it has become clear to me at an early age and I have done nothing but try to make the most out of the time we have. Nothing is permanent and you might not always get a second chance. This outlook that I have adopted has dictated a lot of the decisions I make in life: to travel the world, live on a month to month lease, to work as an independent contractor so I can chose when/what/where I work, and to pursue an interdisciplinary degree so I can select specific interests I am passionate about studying. With a background in event and hospitality work, I decided to pursue commerce as one of my two main focuses. The other in behavioral social sciences, due to the well rounded outlook one receives studying the human interaction and how brains work psychologically that can be applied to almost any situation. My minor is mass communications due to communication being extremely vital and the world of technology and it’s advances taking over. I do not like the idea of putting all my eggs in one basket. And to answer the question “So what do you want to do?” I simply want to do everything. I want to work a thousand jobs in different places and fields. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to settle on something so simple. I am imbitious. I am curious. I am adventurous. I am passionate. But I do understand this might be a hard concept for some to grab, so designing an e-portfolio to display the things I’ve accomplished and the interests I’ve obtained to future employers, clients, business partners, fellow networkers, and even family and friends seems to be a perfect showcase.
